BP03 Digital Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor is manufactured by Walnut Medical Pvt. Ltd., a well-known manufacturer and global supplier of Blood Pressure (BP) Monitors in India. The scale while inflation technology allows the cuff to be inflated to a pressure initially greater than the systolic arterial pressure and calculates both systolic and diastolic pressure over a 30-45 second period. Cuff pressure will be virtually constant when blood flow is zero (cuff pressure more than systolic pressure) or unhindered (cuff pressure less than diastolic pressure). When blood flow is there but restricted, the cuff pressure, which is measured by the pressure sensor, will oscillate on a regular basis in synchrony with the cyclic expansion and contraction of the brachial artery. Using PWM-controlled inflation technology, the recorded pressure waveform generates a signal known as the cuff inflation curve across the inflation period. The oscillometric pulses are extracted from the cuff inflation curve using special adaptive filters. The extracted oscillometric pulses combine to generate a signal known as the oscillometric waveform during the inflation period (OMW). The systolic, diastolic, and pulse rates are calculated using analysis algorithms.
